The kit plane piloted by a television fishing show host killed in a crash in Everglades City earlier this month reached an altitude of 100 to 150 feet before it nose-dived, according to a preliminary report. The National Transportation Safety Board released its early findings in the April 6 crash that killed Jose Wejebe , host of “Spanish Fly,” a saltwater fishing show on the Outdoor Channel and formerly on ESPN. A person has been killed tonight in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car west of Lantana, authorities said. The fatal wreck occurred at the intersection of Lantana Road and Jog Road, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said. Radio dispatch reports indicate that Palm Beach County Fire Rescue paramedics responded shortly after 8:30 p.m., but pronounced the motorcycle’s driver dead at the scene.
